The organizers of the event, held on August 27 of this year, were: “Otandastar” Foundation, as well as the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the USA represented by the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of San Francisco.

The business forum is part of the Foundation's program to establish and strengthen ties with compatriots living abroad. The main purpose of the event was to build business relations with representatives of the Kazakh diaspora in the United States.

Within the framework of the event, the leadership of the Foundation represented by the Advisor to the President of the “Otandastar” Foundation – Bolat Didar presented the main directions of the Foundation's activities, as well as plans to create a network of business houses and cultural centers around the world, which are part of the so-called Kazakh cultural business house, which is one of the key Diaspora Foundation projects abroad.

According to the idea, the Kazakh cultural and business house, the central office of which is located in the capital of Kazakhstan, will create a network of business houses and cultural centers, whose representatives in the countries will be ethnic Kazakhs with citizenship of the host country. They will become the guides of Kazakh culture and traditions, national brands, preservation of the language, and will also assist in the promotion of Kazakhstani exports, products, participate in the conclusion of real business contracts, search for partners, interesting business ideas and innovative startups. This principle is widely used in promoting culture and developing business ties with a number of leading countries, such as Israel, Armenia, etc., yielding concrete results, because the correct use of the knowledge and understanding of the needs of the country of residence available from representatives of the diaspora, supported by requests, offers and measures of state support for business in Kazakhstan, is a platform for the development of business ties.

During the business forum, participants discussed in detail the mechanisms of interaction, stimulation of business initiatives and support for startups. Given the profile of the American business market, namely the large concentration of projects related to innovative technologies and IT start-ups, as well as the work of talented immigrants from Kazakhstan in leading innovative companies such as Apple and Google, the main emphasis was placed on the IT sector, where the activity was presented Fund to support innovation and attract start-ups, including mechanisms for cooperation with state institutions and non-state funds for financing and promoting startups.

In conclusion, the Advisor to the President of the Foundation – Bolat Didar called for the active participation of compatriots living in the United States in the determination of the representatives of the business house and the cultural center of the Kazakh House by the Foundation, and also invited all participants to the First Forum of Compatriots to be held in November this year. in Turkestan. In addition, he noted that the Foundation is open to proposals and is “in touch” with all compatriots, regardless of place of residence, for which purpose a single contact center for compatriots has been created, which advises and provides information support on all pressing issues.

The business forum in the USA became the third in a row, after the past in June and July of this year. in the cities of Munich and Istanbul. In total, 8 such meetings are planned with compatriots living in different countries (Germany, the USA, Great Britain, Sweden, China, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Russia), the following Business Forums will be held on September 10 in Beijing (China), September 10-12 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) ) and September 20, 2019 in London (UK).
