Restrictions will be introduced in Kazakhstan at the weekend

The government announced new weekend restrictions in several cities in Kazakhstan due to the coronavirus, Tengrinews.kz reports.

The Interdepartmental Commission (IAC) to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Kazakhstan decided:

taking into account the complication of the epidemiological situation and the increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection in a number of regions of Kazakhstan, introduce additional restrictive measures on weekends - June 20-21, 2020:

1) in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Karaganda, Shymkent, Pavlodar and Ekibastuz:

- to suspend the activities of shopping and entertainment centers, trading houses, chain stores, covered food and non-food markets, bazaars;

- to allow the work of public catering facilities only outdoors in a street format, while maintaining social distancing;

- restrict the work of public transport;

- suspend the operation of public places: parks, squares, embankments, beaches, water parks;

- suspend the activities of fitness centers;

- restrict access to the street for persons over 65 years of age.

2) In settlements with a population of over 50 thousand people:

- suspend the operation of public places: parks, squares, embankments, water parks;

- restrict access to the street for persons over 65 years of age.

3) to close the entrance to tourist zones, geographically close to the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Karaganda, Shymkent, Pavlodar and Ekibastuz, in accordance with the decisions of the chief sanitary doctors of the regions, and to persons in these zones - to observe social distancing.
