A special project for Kazakh children living in Europe — the “Qyzyqty Qazaq Tili” (Fun Kazakh Language) lessons — has been taking place on a volunteer basis since June 1, 2024.
Held every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. online, these classes are more than just language lessons — they serve as a bridge of cultural and spiritual connection for children living far from their homeland.
During the lessons, children:
• explore Kazakh traditions and the treasures of oral literature;
• learn to read books and speak their native language with confidence;
• embrace national values and deepen their connection to their cultural roots.
The project was initiated by Guljazira Bekbolatkyzy, a teacher from Astana, Master of Pedagogical Sciences, and recipient of the “Best Teacher of Kazakhstan – 2019” award.
She not only teaches but also brings warmth and spiritual connection to Kazakh children living abroad.
Her students eagerly look forward to every session — and some have even traveled to Astana to meet their beloved teacher in person.
