On February 27, in the conference hall of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Nur-Sultan, the opening of the reading hall "Otandastar" will take place. The project was implemented at the initiative of the Otandastar Foundation and the World Association of Kazakhs with the support of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Also, the audience will be presented with the books "Kazakh Alemi" - "The World of Kazakhs".
It should be noted that the Otandastar digital library has been created at the National Academic Library. It presents foreign literature about the Kazakh diaspora and the works of our compatriots. Currently, the library fund has more than 2000 books. At the moment, all literature has been digitized on the technical platform "National Electronic Library of Kazakhstan". This will allow our compatriots to read any book from anywhere in the world.
State and public figures, representatives of ministries, the Otandastar Foundation and the World Association of Kazakhs, Turkic scholars, as well as representatives of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan will take part in the presentation of new projects.
Brief information about the books "Kazakh Alemi" - "The World of Kazakhs":
The first two-volume collection contains 50 interviews with famous compatriots living abroad. Among them are scientists, businessmen, athletes, designers and company executives.
