ANKARA. KAZINFORM — The Kazakhs living in the Ulukışla district of Niğde province in Turkey have not forgotten their traditions to this day. We present to you a photo report from the Anadolu Agency about a Kazakh village in Turkey.

The Kazakhs, who migrated from East Turkestan in 1955 and settled in Niğde, have preserved and continue to follow their customs.

Since they migrated from the Altai Mountains and its surroundings, they named the village they founded in the Ulukışla district Altai.

The local Kazakhs still wear traditional clothing, play their national musical instrument — the dombra, and continue to perform traditional ceremonies and weddings, maintaining their distinctive cultural lifestyle.

Altai village, consisting of 165 households, is the only village in Turkey inhabited exclusively by Kazakhs.
