In 2023, 1,084.8 thousand foreign tourists visited the country. This is 156.8 thousand people more than a year ago, an increase of 17% compared to 2022, where 928 thousand foreigners managed to visit Kazakhstan.

At the end of last year, the number of domestic tourists served by accommodation sites increased by 647.5 thousand people. compared to 2022, amounting to 7 million 54.5 thousand people. This figure is higher than the pre-pandemic level by 1 million 767 thousand people (2019 – 5 million 286 thousand people).

“In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in interest in Kazakhstan among tourists from all over the world. This year, more than 1 million foreigners visited our country. This fact confirms the attractiveness of our natural beauty, cultural heritage and hospitality. We are also actively developing tourism infrastructure, including the construction of new hotels, the development of a transport network and the expansion of tourist routes. Our goal is to make travel to Kazakhstan accessible and comfortable for every visitor, so that everyone can discover the wealth of our unique opportunities and experience unforgettable emotions,” said Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erzhan Erkinbayev.
